Meet the Herd

 Outlaw is the boy that stole my heart and started it all! This horse is full of personality and is the barn favourite. Always up for cuddles, he is a selfie master and never says no to a photo-op.

If you're a forward rider, he loves to run through the fields like he's Spirit in the plains of the ol' west. New and hesitant? He's the one that's going to go your pace and take care of you. If he doesn't think you're ready, he's going slow and steady until you prove him otherwise. 

His specialty is knocking over weave poles to make his young riders giggle. He also plays soccer and is the one who will always make the winning goal. With the most "boopable" snoot you'll ever see, he's sure to melt your heart.

 Minis have a reputation of sass and attitude. You won't find that here though. Baby Lou is a national treasure and we're pretty sure he thinks he's the family dog. He trots to you as fast as he can when you call his name, he's patient and he's not only saddle broke but he pulls a cart too! 

He enjoys being loved on and, as such, will regularly be seen with rainbow coloured mane and tail as well as sparkle hooves. He enjoys time with the wee hoomans and is used for lead-line rides and horsemanship sessions for riders that are 3-5 years old and under 60lbs. He is our main man for pony parties and he steals the show.

We went to meet Buddy because we were looking for a walk (maybe trot) horse to join our beginner riding program. At 25 years old, we were told he loved to be pampered, carried the grandkids around the farm and was the definition of "whoa". We instantly fell in love and brought him home. We treated him to a few bodywork sessions, got his teeth done, rehabbed his grown out feet and got him moving because "motion is lotion" for old bones! Within a matter of weeks, he was feeling like a new man and now he's quite literally our fastest horse. He shows no sign of slowing down and takes his job very seriously. He LOVES to work and he ensures our Intermediate riders earn their stripes riding a rocket. If you get to lay eyes on him you'll swear he's just a teenager.

Zorro is personality plus and he won us over instantly with his puppy dog personality. His former job was on a Dude Ranch which doesn't come with much in terms of snuggles. Now he's living the dream with a herd to run (he's BIG BOSS energy) and students to dote on him. His shiny coat and flowing locks are the envy of all. He's gaited which means you're treated to a lovely running walk so you can get comfortable with a little speed before taking on a posted trot.

Sam worked on the Dude Ranch with Zorro so they are very much the definition of best friends. Sam joined us first and it was quickly apparent that we couldn't leave Zorro behind. He came to us with the saddest, shutdown eyes but with a little time and a lot of love, he perked up and is a real love bug. He seems to really enjoy his new job trotting around the arena with the beginners. He is a very attentive horse and definitely takes care of his people. Affectionately called "Sam Sam", he is the whole package.
